How to reach

The “Graue Bär” is located on the outskirts of Kochel directly on the lake on the picturesque German Alpine Road.

Arrival by car:
Coming from Munich, take the A95 motorway to the Murnau/Kochel exit. From here, turn left towards Kochel am See (approx. 9 km). In Kochel, turn right at the crossroads in the direction of Mittenwald. The Graue Bär is located at the southern end of town, directly on the lake.

Parking spaces are available and are included in the room rate.

Arrival by train:
Regular trains depart every hour from Munich directly to Kochel. From the train station, either take a taxi (please pre-order) or a 5-minute bus trip to Mittenwald/Garschmisch. From the stop “Fa. Dorst” it is only 250 m to the hotel. The exact departure times can be found here >> www.bahn.de

Arrival by bike:
You can get to us by bike via the “Bodensee-Königssee Cycle Path”. This takes you over 410 km across the foothills of the Bavarian Alps >> www.bodensee-koenigssee-radweg.de

Guests can store their bicycles in a garage free of charge. For electric bikes, a cost-free charging station (regular power plug and high-power plug) is available.

Arrival by boat:
You can even get here by rowing boat or canoe. We will gladly make our boat house available to you.

Arrival on foot:
