No matter whether meat, fish or vegetable lovers… with us nobody has yet left our table hungry. The chef personally takes care of your physical well-being together with his hard-working kitchen team. Enjoy our culinary specialties in the hotel’s restaurant and, during fine weather, on the deck, allowing you to enjoy the view over the lake.

We attach great importance to procuring products from the region or from Bavaria. For example, fish from Kochel Lake fisherman family Kneidl, and game from Bavarian forests.

„Echt und Grod“ – the Tafernwirt

The “Tafernwirt vom Tölzer Land” – a community of traditional restaurants – do credit to the venerable “Tafernwirtschaften” from past centuries. All businesses are run by the owner. Every “Tafernwirt” offers his own individually kitchen concept.

Culinary highlights, down-to-earth Bavarian cuisine, light fare with a lot of finesse – every Tafernwirt has his own unique specialty. Always mostly made from regional ingredients, fresh products and prepared with a lot of love and passion.

The name is derived from the Tafern-Recht, which previously only allowed a few hosts to sell food. Nowadays the Tölzer Tafernwirt pamper their guests with various culinary activities, events or the “recipe of the month”.

Exclusive: The Tafernwirt Beer – a regional and special brewed beer from the Mariensteiner Brewery which will be served in a stone jug!
